WebMontag #10 in Jena am 23. März
Nach einer etwas längeren Pause ist es nun wieder soweit und wir möchten Euch zur mittlerweile 10. Veranstaltung des Jenaer WebMontags (WM10) recht herzlich einladen.
Der WM10 findet am 23. März um 19:30 Uhr bei der TowerByte Softwaregenossenschaft in der 29. Etage des Intershop Towers statt. Die Teilnehmer erwartet wieder einmal eine bunte Mischung verschiedenster Kurzbeiträge:
- Das Internet als Leitmedium - ist die Politik im 21. Jahrhundert angekommen?
Referent: Patrick Brauckmann
Inhalt: Das Superwahljahr bestimmt das politische Denken und Handeln in diesem Jahr. Was aber erwartet uns im politischen Netz im Jahr 2009? Der Vortrag stellt den Versuch dar, einen kurzen Rückblick auf vergangene Wahlkämpfe im Netz mit einem gewagten Ausblick auf den kommenden Wahlkampf in Deutschland zu verknüpfen. - Die Open Source Webapplikation WordPress im Unternehmensumfeld

Inhalt: Wordpress ist die meistgenutzte Weblog Software weltweit und wird mittlerweile als CMS oder auch eCommerce-Anwendung verwendet. Erst am 14. Februar war das WordCamp 2009 und mit ihm der Gründer von Wordpress, Matt Mullenweg aus San Francisco, zu Gast in Jena. Frank Bültge (Wordpress Deutschland, Carl Zeiss AG) spricht über die vielseitigen Vorteile und Möglichkeiten zur Nutzung der Open Source Webapplikation WordPress im Unternehmensumfeld am Beispiel der Carl Zeiss AG. Er gibt Ausblick auf neue Entwicklungen, wie zum Beispiel dem “Facebook-Killer” BuddyPress, mit dem ein eigenes Social Network im Blog gestartet werden kann. - Mit MIKI gegen die Medienkrise

Inhalt: Viele Verlage befinden sich in schwerer See, manche schon in Seenot: Auflagenzahlen gehen zurück, Relevanz schwindet, der Anzeigenverkauf bricht ein und im Internet verdienen die Medien kaum Geld wegen sinkenden Werbepreisen. Wie kann es Medienunternehmen in der Krise gelingen, mit der neuen Social Media Plattform MIKI sich diesem Abwärtstrend entgegenzustellen? Wie kann diese neue Internet-Mediengattung dabei sogar Markenartikler mit hochwertiger Werbung im Web2.0 platzieren und dies mit Transaktion (eCommerce) sinnvoll und Nutzerrelevant verknüpfen? MIKI: Neue Einkommensströme statt Weltuntergangsstimmung.
